Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to take home the 200 meters race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in every event.
